Passionate about advancing sustainable and innovative mobility solutions, Astrid currently supports clients in the mobility sector with tailored strategies for project evaluation, funding acquisition, and stakeholder engagement. As an external expert for the European Commission, Astrid evaluates cutting-edge innovations in logistics and transportation, contributing to the allocation of EU funding in programs such as Horizon Europe for CINEA and Europe’s Rail. Additionally, Astrid empowers stakeholders by delivering thought leadership in sustainable mobility and logistics through consulting and academic engagement.

Managing Partner – Mobility & Advisory Services (2014 – present)
As the managing partner, Astrid leads projects focused on financial management, sustainability, and innovations in the new mobility and logistics space. These initiatives span EU-funded programs and align with her expertise in advancing sustainable and future-oriented mobility solutions.
Senior Policy Officer, Corporate Social Responsibility – Deutsche Post DHL (2006 – 2013)
In this role, Astrid spearheaded DHL’s strategic positioning on sustainability and logistics within EU institutions, emphasizing corporate social responsibility (CSR). Her work included policy development and representing the organization in logistics and sustainability-focused initiatives.
Director of Research & Strategy – Federal Association of Public Banks in Germany (VÖB) (2000 – 2006)
Leading the department for research and ratings, Astrid guided strategic research initiatives, moderated industry working groups, and represented the VÖB in European dialogues on banking and financial policy.
Academic and Advisory Engagements
Astrid is also a lecturer at OTH Regensburg and IU Internationale Hochschule, where she teaches courses in business administration, managerial economics, international leadership and logistics management. Her academic involvement reflects her commitment to developing future leaders in sustainable business and mobility sectors.
Education
Astrid holds a Ph.D. in Economic Policy from the University of Cologne. She also earned a degree in Economics and Business Administration from the University of Trier, complemented by international studies at Trinity College Dublin.
